SO. I took that one picture I did for the mare bid and put Never in it! I got a filly, so I no longer need the bid I did. And I took WAY too long to not use it. So here it is!

Here's my cutie, Never, breaking the rules and not doing his training. What a jerk. ;)

STORY TIME

The dark stallion sprang around the paddock and around the tree. Muscles shown and glistened under the hot sun as strong hooves pounded against the ground.

Lacy, the brown haired novice trainer, laughed softly at Never's antics. She was new to Grey Bird Stables, having graduated college just months prior and just starting work within that week. Today was the first day she would get hands on action with Dressage. Brown eyes were so focused on the graceful and playful movements of the stallion, that Lacy didn't notice when the lead trainer leaned against the fence near her.

"He's beautiful," she mumbled under her breath.

"And stubborn," the older man replied, startling the young woman. He winked at her before focusing his attention to the horse, making clicking noises to get the horses attention.

Never reared and galloped away from the two trainers and towards the barn. He shook his head, the short mane tossing stiffly. The liver chestnut stallion stamped his foot impatiently against the hard ground, wanting to go inside the barn instead of training.

Ian sighed, shaking his own head. "Andrew is going to have one hell of a time riding him today," he chuckled.

Lacy tilted her head, confused. "Shouldn't we wait until Never is not acting up? Andrew might get tossed off."

The man with greying hair turned to the young woman. "Andy is a talented rider. He got that way from falling off a few times," He pulled the halter from around his neck and held it tightly in his hands. Going through the old white fence, Ian started to walk confidently towards the stallion.

"Oh, and Lacy," he said over his shoulder and not looking away from the Nordanner. "Don't ever think you can't train because of how stubborn a horse is. That's what makes them better."

A smile crept on the woman's pale face as she watched the older man talk to Never, calming him, and successfully putting on his halter without problem. At that moment, Lacy knew she had found the perfect stable to learn.
